My week in pictures...

I woke up at 7 a.m. on Sunday to watch the sun rise on my 25th birthday...holy moly...I'm getting old. I was sad to leave 24 behind, but if 25 is half as good as 24 was...I have a whole lot to look forward to.


These lemons are the result of a failed attempt to do the "master cleanse". I made a valiant effort, but it is so hard to not eat! I quickly discovered that fasting is not for those that have blood sugar problems. Now I need recipes calling for lemons (and lots of them) or a lemonade stand...one of the two.

These were actually last week, but my sweet boyfriend sent me roses for my birthday...14 of them to be exact! I love them!



Last, but not least, I'm seeing more flowers than weeds in my garden! Cosmos, zinnias, sunflowers, and bachelor's buttons to name a few. Also, lemon basil, mint and rosemary. I'm pretty excited!

These peonies were so breathtaking and fragrant! I love these big floppy flowers!

I loved this little chipmunk! He was so sweet with his little hands folded in front of him.

It has been a while since I've had the time/creative energy to get out and take pictures lately, but today I made time to do it! I love being behind a camera! For me there's something special about focusing on the beauty of the small things and details rather than the big picture.

I am so angry with myself, I had tons of pictures on my SD card and I accidentally deleted all of them! Here are a few I snapped this past weekend and today. Happy Monday, almost Tuesday!

I've been seeing lots of purples around the yard lately. I love the different colors of spring! I think most of these are wildflowers and I'm sorry that I don't know their names but I would appreciate any help identifying them!

I'm not sure which is more disturbing, the fact that I'm up at 12:30 a.m. on a week day or that yesterday (as of 30 minutes ago) was St. Patty's day and I didn't even wear green...the thought never even crossed my mind. I always wear green on St. Patty's day! Not because I'm Irish, although that's not out of the realm of possibility, but my name is very Irish and I feel like I have a kinship with that holiday:) Anyway, enough about me...I took a few photos on my way home from work yesterday! I always feel so much better about things after I've been behind a camera for a few minutes.

I snapped a few shots on my way home the other day, the lighting was perfect. Listening to Winter Song by Sarah Mclachlan, I could listen to her all day long and never get tired of her voice.

I've been neglecting my poor little blog. I've been busy with a few things lately, but I'm going to attempt to be more diligent with my updating. Summer is coming to a close, I'll miss the sunshine and long days...probably won't be missing all this 100 degree weather we have here in Georgia though.
